Safari Lifestyles View
This is the only lodge that exists inside the Chobe National Park on the river front area. Similar to Chobe Game Lodge it concentrates on a high level of service rather than being a bush lodge, testament to the fact is that it has 47 rooms.
It does offer daily game drives and sunset boat cruises but the fact that it has a conference room suggests where its loyalty lies. Its not that its a bad lodge, in fact it is a very good lodge with great modern facilities and good dining, but just don’t go if you are expecting an intimate bush camp.
We would say however that you are very limited in choice as to where to stay either in the river area of the park or just outside, so Chobe Game Lodge is a very good choice in that respect.

Wildlife
Like the Greater Linyanti, the Chobe River Front is teeming with buffalo and elephant. Away from the river is mile upon mile of dry land only dotted with waterholes, therefore the river is an absolute haven for the game that needs it. As ever, if there is a large presence of game, there are large numbers of predators, mostly lion.
On the flats around the river area, aside from the normal game, the more interesting antelope you may see are good levels of red lechwe, the similar looking puku and the rare Chobe bushbuck. To the southern end of the chobe rover area can be found good numbers of roan and sable antelope, and if you are lucky, more inland you will find eland.
Birdlife, as expected on the river area can be spectacular and you may see birds that may be more difficult to see elsewhere such as African skimmers, spoonbills and giant kingfishers. Together with a surprising array of raptors, the Chobe river front area is a stupendous location for birders.
