3 STAR
Dry Camp
Safari Lifestyles View
In itself, the lodge sits beautifully on the edge of the impressive Ghoha Hills within its own smallish private concession… no mean feat as hills are quite a rarity in Botswana. We do state that the area is a fringe area in that game can be good but most of the best viewing comes from deeper within the park around the Savuti Marsh areas, which is a good 45 minutes at least game drive to get to.
Though it is a very well appointed lodge, because of its distance relative to other lodges in the central area, we have given Ghoha Hills a 3 star rating even though the accommodation is better than that. In fact, if the access to game is not so important to you then this could easily be a 4 star lodge.
Wildlife
From the guest unit and the main area, guests are able to view a productive water hole located below at the edge of the hill. This section of Chobe National Park is frequented by various species:
– Elephants
– Zebra
– Buffalos
– Lions
– Leopards
– Giraffe
– Spotted Hyena
– Jackals
– Variety of birdlife
