Safari Lifestyles View
Pom Pom is on the western Edge of the Moremi Game Reserve, it is a classically styled camp in a wet and dry area where the game is proving to be very good taking the last few years into consideration.
The lodge is nice and open and you will feel happy that you came here as it’s very restful, just sitting and enjoying the seemingly tropical environment keeps well with this camps relaxing theme.
Excellent mokoro and game drives are undertaken with the chance to do some walking safaris, so the activities are quite varied and you will not be disappointed as long as you do not expect huge herds of game. The game is here but we would certainly say that it is not prolific… but you never know, as this could be case pretty much anywhere.

Wildlife
There is the possibility of seeing numerous different species of game, however Pom Pom is also about the nature experience as much as anything else. In addition to big game, Pom Pom is a bird-watcher’s paradise and within a maze of water passages you will find the busy Pied King Fisher and countless other birds that flourish in the water ways. One such bird is the African Jacana, or commonly known as the “Lilly Trotter” which, with its long sticklike leg’s runs along the top of lily pads without causing so much as a ripple!
And….. for your comfort, game drives are offered in new, luxury open-viewing land cruisers, with a tracker and a driver / guide. Giant Eagle Owls are resident in the camp and a rare and elusive Pel’s Fishing Owl is regularly sighted.

Overview
The Camp is located on Pom Pom Island in a private concession situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta and on the head waters of the Xudum river system. The area lies on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve and offers superb Okavango scenery and a true Okavango wilderness experience.
The lodge is placed overlooking a scenic lagoon and is nestled under a grove of shady trees. The main living area is a large and open plan structure of gumpole and thatch with wooden decked floors. Plenty of seating is provided consisting of fabric armchairs and settees with wooden chairs and tables spread out.
In the central area is a small but well stocked curio shop. To the other side of this large structure is the dining area with a long table which takes advantage of the open front and the views.
At the front of the living area and down to the ground is a fire pit and seating which stands close to the waterways, here you will be invited to join other guests for an evening drink around the fire.
Around to the side is a plunge pool with decking and sun loungers.
Room Description
Bush paths lead you to all the accommodation. Units are canvas tents with a larger canvas external roof to provide shading.
Each tent is raised high on a wooden deck which provides height and good views over the waterways. The front decking is quite large and has seating and a table for you to relax and soak up the atmosphere.
Through zipped flaps at the font of the tent is a small lounge area that is separated from the main bedroom area by wooden open fronted doors, this is a nice touch as it does give you the feel of having a separate lounge room. This area has a rug on the floor, two good comfortable armchairs with a table and lighting.
Through the wooden doors you will find the bedroom area generally with twin beds. the bedroom area is compact but more than adequate. The walls to both sides have large gauze windows to accentuate the light and views and there are curtains that can be drawn.
The beds are large and comfortable with a simple slatted wooden headboard the separates the bedroom area from the back.
To the rear of the beds is the en-suite facility which consists of washbasins, a wardrobe and a concealed toilet. Through a doorway will take you to an outside shower area.
One family safari tent that can accommodate four, with en-suite facilities has a close proximity to the main lodge.
