Shinde Enclave is a much smaller and more personal setup to its bigger sister Shinde Camp. They share the same area and therefore share the same wide ranging activities in what is a very good concession for game viewing and water activities.
Designed in such a way, the whole camp can be booked out as one booking with private chef and guide to give you and your family and friends a totally private bush camp.

Besides the elephant, a wide variety of other game frequent the life-giving force of the Delta, including impala, lechwe, hippo, crocodile and lion.
The species you are likely to see roosting here include the yellow bill stork, marabou, open bill stork, darters, cormorants and slate egrets. Shindre area regularly reports sightings of the rare Pel’s fishing owl in addition to hyena, which has also become a rare sighting in this area.
Even more rare are the situanga antelope, which live in swamps and are very good swimmers. They may take to the water to evade predators such as leopards or wild dogs, lying submerged in pools with only their nostrils above the surface.

The Enclave consisting of three luxurious tents with raised teak decks which overlook windswept papyrus beds, and the area is home to many aquatic species including the rarely-seen sitatunga antelope.
With a private dining and lounge area, the Enclave is the perfect retreat after a day’s activities. This intimate hideaway also offers guests the services of a private chef, waiter and housekeeper as well as their own professional guide and vehicle.

Situated in the Shinde Concession, the Shinde Enclave offers a choice of land and water activities throughout the year and is home to many aquatic species including the elusive sitatunga antelope. Activities include morning and late afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles, with afternoon game drives often continuing into the evening. Alternatively climb aboard a Mokoro with a local ‘poler’ and enjoy the exploration of the Okavango Delta’s tranquil waterways. Motorboat trips, walking trails and fishing are other optional activities, all to be planned and taken with your private professional guide.
The luxury tents are within close proximity of the private dining room and viewing deck, while structurally unchanged, this area too has received a complete furniture and fittings makeover.
