Tongabezi

Tongabezi Lodge is a unique luxury lodge set in a secluded tranquil grove of African ebony trees on the banks of the Zambezi River. It is perfectly located whether you choose to enjoy the myriad of activities on offer at the Falls, simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the spectacular views over the river…. or a combination of it all.

Tongabezi is superbly positioned on the edge of the Zambezi River, near Livingstone in Zambia, just upstream from the mighty Victoria Falls. Sindabezi Island nestles in the Zambezi, a picturesque 20 minutes boat ride downstream from Tongabezi.

The main lounge, dining areas and swimming pool offer beautiful views of the Zambezi River. Extensive lodge refurbishments and new swimming pool were completed in mid 2010. The lodge has a private helipad and small curio shop.

“The Lookout” is Tongabezi’s latest concept to promote relaxation, rejuvenation and the space to make time for yourself. With a high tech internet roaming desk and library it also has multiple decks with Zambezi River views for casual dining, private dining and reading.

Tongabezi’s accommodation consists of the following:
• 5 x River Cottages – 3 doubles & 2 twins with en-suite and beautiful river views.

• 5 x Houses – large & unique open-fronted thatched Houses and one enclosed House with a private plunge pool. All Houses have en-suite and fabulous river views. The Tree House was extensively refurbished in 2012 and The ‘Dog House will be re-opened as the Boat House in June 2013

• 1 x Garden Cottage – 2 bedrooms with en-suite, this private and secluded cottage is set back from the river in a walled rose garden (no river views). Ideal accommodation for families.

• A valet is assigned to each Cottage and House at Tongabezi Lodge.
